You will be delighted to know that the Chritingle Service will go ahead as usual.
The traditional start of Feniton's Christmas Celebrations will be at the usual place (St Andrew's Church, Feniton Old Village) at at the usual time (4pm on Christmas Eve) and in the usual format (large numbers of people including many many children - we hope - squeezing into the church for a magical service). It will be led by the Rev Anne Mills and we look forward to celebrating with you all, whether you be old, young, new arrival, long-time resident or visitor.
See you there
How to Make Regular Donations to St Andrew's, Feniton
Parish Giving Scheme and Gift Aid
Anybody wishing to support Feniton Church are invited to join the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) which is administered nationally by Gloucester Diocese. This scheme allows you make regular donations by direct debit, anonymously if you prefer. If you are a tax payer the scheme automatically reclaims the tax and the full amount of the donation plus the tax refund is paid into the church account. Whether or not you are a churchgoer or a non-taxpayer is irrelevant and your contribution towards maintaining a local community building will be appreciated by the Parochial Church Council. Donations from any non-taxpayer will likewise always be welcome.
If you join the scheme and are an existing donor by Standing Order your SO donation needs to be cancelled and replaced by the PGS. If you donate by Yellow Envelope this can also cease. Membership of the Scheme provides the opportunity for annual review in either direction and is risk and hassle free. Should you wish to put something into the collection bag as it passes you there is in the church porch small plastic cards in a silver tray, these can be put into the collection bag to signify your donation
By joining the Scheme you will help to reduce the administration burden on the Gift Aid Officer and the Church Treasurer.
PGS packs are available from inside the Church itself or from the Treasurer, who will be happy to answer any queries you may have. (Brian Martin)(Gift Aid Officer)

Operation Christmas Child 2017 Update
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
This year exceeded all expectations with 127 boxes being sent via Operation Christmas Child from the three parishes of Feniton, Escot and Payhembury. In addition to the boxes ,so generously filled, there was a considerable sum of money, in excess of £300 either from donations or raised from the Coffee Morning in October.
Our boxes went out on the first load to the children Albania. This will give pleasure to many children who are not as fortunate as ours.
