Wings for Worship

With Andrew Maries

Andrew is the consultant to the Diocese of Exeter for Liturgy and Music is leading a 5 week course entitled ‘Wings for Worship’ starting on the 30th January at 7pm, to be held at Feniton Church. It is open to members of the three parishes of Escot, Feniton and Payhembury as well as other parishes in the Mission Community

It is a hands-on course, aimed at developing confidence and equipping those who would be interested in leading lay led services, leading intercessions, taking a part in the service, lesson reading, in fact covering all aspects of worship in our church.

People can attend all 5 sessions or dip into ones which are of particular interest to them.

Most of the ministry that takes place within the diocese is done by lay people. While there are a few hundred ordained ministers there are thousands of lay people who use their gifts of teaching, preaching, listening, administration, music, leadership and others to minister to others and to further God’s mission in Devon.

Please join us to give you confidence, to ask questions, and to offer help to others with your ideas and experience. See what Andrew can offer us and what we can offer our church by being participating members. None of us are professionals and we will all be in this together so there is no embarrassment in attending and we don’t know where it may lead.

There is a charge but the PCC believe that if you are willing to give of your time, we, the PCC should take that cost.
