The 2020 Plant Sale will be held in Church Lane, Old Feniton on 16 & 17 May 2020. This plant sale raises funds to assist with the upkeep of the fabric of St Andrew's Church, Feniton and is organised by the Friends of St Andrew's.
Please hold on to any pots you may find as you sort out your greenhouse or shed. We always appreciate donations of plants and potted cuttings for us to sell on the Saturday morning.
The first soup lunch of the season was held at the beginning of October and raised £310 to support our local youth worker, Graham Harry.
The next will be held on Monday 4 November, hosted by John & Ann Masters and will be for the benefit of the Melanesian Mission in the Solomon Islands.
Payhembury and Feniton Schools continue to enjoy the Bible stories acted out by the Open the Book team, who try their best to bring the stories to life in a fun and colourful way. We have re-visited the creation story to fit in with the school's Creation topic and have told the story of the prodigal son and will be doing the marvellous picnic soon. The children adore joining in and acting various parts too and we always finish with a cheerful song and a prayer.
The Open the Book team:
