Dear All,

Prior to the Annual Parochial Church Meetings (coming up on 10 April - book it into your diary!) we have to display the Church Accounts for your inspection. There will be a copy on the noticeboard in the entrance at St Andrew's this coming Sunday. In the meantime you can enjoy the attached copy in the comfort of your own home.

Electoral Roll 2019

We are required by church laws to completely re-new the Electoral Roll every 6 years....and 2019 is it!

Parish Giving Scheme and Gift Aid

Anybody wishing to support Feniton Church are invited to join the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) which is administered nationally by Gloucester Diocese. This scheme allows you make regular donations by direct debit, anonymously if you prefer. If you are a tax payer the scheme automatically reclaims the tax and the full amount of the donation plus the tax refund is paid into the church account. Whether or not you are a churchgoer or a non-taxpayer is irrelevant and your contribution towards maintaining a local community building will be appreciated by the Parochial Church Council. Donations from any non-taxpayer will likewise always be welcome.

If you join the scheme and are an existing donor by Standing Order your SO donation needs to be cancelled and replaced by the PGS. If you donate by Yellow Envelope this can also cease. Membership of the Scheme provides the opportunity for annual review in either direction and is risk and hassle free. Should you wish to put something into the collection bag as it passes you there is in the church porch small plastic cards in a silver tray, these can be put into the collection bag to signify your donation

By joining the Scheme you will help to reduce the administration burden on the Gift Aid Officer and the Church Treasurer.

PGS packs are available from inside the Church itself or from the Treasurer, who will be happy to answer any queries you may have.                                                                                                                                                (Brian Martin)(Gift Aid Officer)

GDPR and the ELECTORAL ROLL

We have had advice from the Exeter Diocese stating that:-

We are aware that GDPR has raised some concerns regarding the renewal of the Electoral Roll. As the law currently stands, there is no need to amend the electoral roll forms, consent is not required. An informative note explaining the legal bases will be added to the forms in due course but the legal position is not dependent on this note.
The Church of England’s GDPR Team have produced guidance to clarify these issues (link below). They have also produced an electoral roll Privacy Notice which explains the GDPR issues for those individuals applying to the electoral roll.  You should publish this on your website and/or give it to people who request an application form.

At the most recent meeting of Feniton PCC it was reported that our Electoral Roll consists of 53 members.

If you would like to be added to Feniton's Electoral Roll please contact our Electoral Roll Office, Nigel Bond, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
