We would like to remind everyone that there is to be a Whist Drive at the Village Hall at 2 p.m. on Monday, 28th August. We are deeply grateful for the hard work of those who run the Whist Drives for us.

Christmas Tree Festival in the church

The theme will be “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. We will be asking for applications to stage a tree and one of the 12 days will be allocated to each applicant so all the days of Christmas are covered. Trees will need to be staged by the end of Friday morning, 1st December. The festival will be open for three consecutive afternoons, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Further information will follow.

A  Coffee Morning for Share and Play and held on Saturday the 17th June was organised by members of St Andrews church. It was a social and financial success with £205 contributing to towards the purchasing of items needed for a child's sensory room at the Youth Centre. Supporters, donors and local school children gathered for the rededication of Patteson’s Cross on Thursday 9th February. Special guests included the Rt Revd Leonard Dawea, Bishop of the Diocese of Temotu and Rt Revd Ellison Quity Bishop of the Diocese of Ysabel in the Solomon Islands, and Lord William Coleridge, a distant relative of Bishop John Coleridge Patteson.
