Dear EFP church folk,
Here's today’s Sunday Reflection and Prayer -
Service sheet attached.
After seeing the Queen yesterday go through the bleakness of a Covid funeral, today we are reminded in the resurrection narrative of the wounded Jesus coming to us in the bleakest of circumstances.
Today we have Communion at Escot at 9am.
God bless,
Team Vicar for Escot, Feniton & Payhembury, Otter Vale Team

Dear EFP church folk,
We will all have been deeply saddened by the death today of the Duke of Edinburgh. A loving and steadfast support to the Queen, he was a remarkable man of energy and devotion to others and will be deeply missed. Our thoughts will most of all be for the Queen and her family.
Books of Condolence
In normal times, public Books of Condolence would be available. Sadly due to Covid-19 this is not permitted. The Royal Family welcome online messages of condolence, at , or alternatively via the Church of England website at .
Memorial services
Two memorial services will be held in the EFP parishes next Thursday 15th,
- at Feniton church 11am
- at Payhembury church 5pm
Services this Sunday
Payhembury’s All Age service (10.30am) and Escot's Evensong (6pm) this Sunday will each mark the loss of the Duke of Edinburgh.
At Feniton there will be an additional short service of Morning Prayer, at 9.30am.
A prayer
God of our lives,
we give thanks for the life of Prince Philip,
for his love of our country,
and for his devotion to duty.
We entrust him now to your love and mercy,
through our Redeemer Jesus Christ.
The lovely attached photo of Prince Philip has been shared for public use with permission of the Press Association.
God bless,
