Dear EFP church folk,

I hope you have stayed warm during this rawest of weeks. Warm weather is nearly back!

‘A love song for Lent’. God sings us a love song, and on Sundays through Lent we will be drawing on one glorious setting of His song - the Beatitudes (‘Blessed are the…'). Rather than wait until Lent-proper - and appropriately being Valentine’s Day - we will make a running start in today's service.

So… today we have our video worship -

service sheet (in the usual paginated and 'straight' formats) and Bible readings attached.

Each week I’ll also sketch a few questions for reflection, personally or with others. There isn't a formal Lent group/course this year.
Should it prove helpful, the Sunday reflection is separately on YouTube at https://youtu.be/-j5Z3wZZRoQ <https://youtu.be/-j5Z3wZZRoQ>.

This week’s Prayer diary and Children’s church are attached, with thanks to Becky.

Ash Wednesday -
There will be a simple service for Ash Weds, this Weds 17th 10.30am. We will use Zoom for the first time for a service.
I will circulate the Zoom details tomorrow. If you would like to join the service but are unsure about Zoom, let me know.

Whatever Valentine’s Day means to you - present love, past memories, what-ifs, or eternal hope - may you know the love of God and of the church community for you more than ever today.

Take care, and God bless,
David
